Devotional for July 23, 2006
"When two or three are gathered in my name,,"

Last night one of my grandsons was involved in a head-on collision, causing multiple injuries to his body.  Before the night was over, all of our children and grandchildren, brothers and sisters,etc. had been notified throughout the midwest.  All of us made a vow to "circle the wagons" in a circle of prayer for caleb.  Today, we know of over 1000 people offered prayer in worship on his behalf.  We were all uncertain if he would live, and his life is still tenuous.  But those who worshipped prayed for him, and tonight there is a witness among us of his positive response.  He is not out of the woods, but we are grateful to God for the response seen.
One enters a circle such as this one filled with concern and uncertainty
There is only hope and commitment holding us together tonight.	I invite you to join us in this circle of prayer.  I also want you to know the experience of gratitude arising from this outpouring of caring and loving.  We can only say, Thank you! Amen (melshort@stroxel.com)
